De verf is even makkelijk te gebruiken op schildersdoek als voor muurschilderingen. Het hecht zich aan diverse ondergronden en kan van heel dik (impasto) tot heel dun worden opgebracht. De droogtijd van Ara is relatief kort, waardoor je snel kunt doorwerken.
